![]() The Bluetooth SIG, comprised of over 36,000 companies, develops Bluetooth standards. There is such a thing as a Bluetooth dongle, but for our purposes when we refer to a gaming mouse’s Bluetooth connection it’s the type that doesn’t require a port, instead connecting the mouse’s Bluetooth chip directly to a PC’s Bluetooth chip without using a dongle. In our experience, while the leatherette looks nicer, the cloth finish was preferable for endurance. When shopping wireless gaming mice, you’ll find options that connect via Bluetooth and/or a 2.4 GHz dongle that goes into a PC’s USB port. ![]() The Pro X comes with two pad options, allowing you to choose between a leatherette or cloth finish. The earpads are padded with high-quality memory foam, providing a comfortable fit unique to every wearer – an especially welcome feature for glasses wearers. ![]() Constructed from a hybrid mesh and delivering a wide frequency range (20 Hz-20 kHz), the drivers are responsible for pushing out a consistently clear high-fidelity audio, with or without the support of DTS and G-Hub. Logitech has achieved great things with the PRO-G 50MM Drivers. Professional e-sport pre-set profiles are also available. In addition to input/output levelling and vocal EQ, a noise reduction, high pass filter, de-esser, gate, compressor, and limiter are available, each being operated by simple tick boxes and sliders. It's a true game-changer, with “enhanced bass rendering, audio clarity and proximity cues.” BLUE VO!CEīLUE VO!CE offers up industry-defining microphone technology, accessible and definable through G-Hub. DTS HEADPHONE:X 7.1 Surround SoundĭTS HEADPHONE:X is an object-orientated sound experience offering near and far field audio clarity. In the case of audio applications, this translates to a loss-less and latency-free experience. Thanks to the implementation of its data pipeline, the 2.5GHz connection is advertised to achieve speeds faster than those of a wired device. LIGHTSPEED wireless is Logitech’s high-performance wireless technology, designed from the ground up to deliver a strong, stable, and latency-free performance. Still, for those looking to go wireless, and simplify their setup with wireless gaming peripherals, the Pro X LIGHTSPEED is a hugely compelling choice. The cost of cutting the wire connection is a slight dip in performance over the alternative standard addition. With the Pro X LIGHTSPEED, Logitech has created a streamlined wireless gaming experience with flawless connectivity, impressive battery life and immersive audio. While by no means is the audio clarity and performance lapse, but that much sought after and respected Blue finesse is reduced to simply being a ‘good’ mic. This means that both onboard and system control of the volume level are one and the same, negating the tiresome need to balance between two audio levels.Ī similar issue is to be found over on the Blue VO!CE microphone. The volume control is a surprise highlight too – rather than controlling only headset volume, it directly links with system volume. The onboard mute-mic and volume controls offer immediate communication with the PC system, with no delay between activation and operation. In our opinion, this is the highest praise such a device can receive. While we've not been able to verify the latency in terms of data, we noticed no discernible change in experience from the original, wired Pro X headset. When brought over to the Pro X, this means that audio is synced with incredible accuracy. The result on keyboards and gaming mice is that response and report times drop to around 1ms, via a 2.4GHz connection frequency (the required USB/soundcard dongle is included in the box). The tech effort that sits behind Logitech’s LIGHTSPEED ensures that data is processed efficiently at every stage, from “hardware to firmware”.
